Vesper
Technology that supports everyday life
Vesper is the intelligent home assistance system that Pantoufle is developing to support the autonomy of people with cognitive vulnerabilities and to stand alongside those who care for them.
Everyday needs
Small help, at the moments that matter
-
Following routines
Remembering the day’s appointments and activities, at the right moment.
-
Finding one’s way at home
Receiving simple guidance when an activity is interrupted or becomes difficult.
-
Feeling safe
Living in one’s own home with greater peace of mind, keeping one’s own habits.
-
Supporting those who provide care
Allowing caregivers to be informed when needed, without continuous monitoring.
Concept and intended use
A system for the home, not the clinic
Vesper is designed for the home environment. The aim is to accompany the person in their daily activities, respecting their pace and habits, and to offer family members and caregivers a reliable point of reference.
It does not replace relationships or professionals: it works alongside them, stepping in with restraint when help can make a difference.
[To be confirmed: regulatory classification of Vesper (for example, whether or not it is a medical device)]
How it works
Perceive, understand, accompany
Vesper is designed as an integrated system: devices in the home, a processing layer that interprets the context, and services for the person and for those who care for them.
[To be confirmed: type and number of sensors, modes of interaction and system components, based on the technical documentation]
-
Perceive
Discreet devices in the home collect signals about the environment and activities.
-
Understand
The system learns to recognise routines and significant changes.
-
Accompany
When it is useful, Vesper steps in with a simple voice message, in the right room.
-
Alert
If a situation calls for it, it informs family members or the designated caregiver.
Privacy
The home remains a private place
Confidentiality is a design requirement for Vesper. The approach is to process information within the home as far as possible and to share externally only what is necessary to assist the person.
[To be confirmed: which data are processed locally, which, if any, are transmitted, how long they are kept and with what security measures]
Who it is for
Alongside the person and those who care for them
People with cognitive vulnerabilities
Who wish to go on living in their own home with as much autonomy as possible.
Family members and caregivers
Who are looking for reliable support and the possibility of being informed when needed.
Associations, foundations and institutions
Who accompany people and families and can become partners in bringing the system to more people.
