A child, seen from behind, sits on a windowsill looking at the evening sky.

The name

Pantoufle
The beginning of a story

Pantoufle was born of a child’s answer. An answer that was spontaneous, quick, genuine, sincere.

He had seen Chocolat, a film in which a little girl calls her imaginary friend Pantoufle.

A discreet presence, invisible to others, yet real and important to her. A silent companion, a symbol of that personal freedom which belongs to the imagination, to one’s choices and to one’s own way of being.

In that name we recognised a metaphor for what artificial intelligence can become

A technology invisible in its processes, complex in its workings, yet simple and natural in its relationship with people. A discreet presence, friendly, close, able to offer support without imposing itself, to accompany without taking over, to be there when needed.

We believe that bringing artificial intelligence into everyday life means going beyond mere data processing. It means designing technologies able to adapt to people, to their needs, to their habits. Technologies in which the ability to understand context is joined by the attentiveness, care and human sensitivity of those who develop them.

Two women at a bright kitchen table, with mugs and notebooks, go through a large sheet mapping out a daily care routine, covered in coloured arrows and sticky notes.

From this idea, Pantoufle was born

A company that sees in artificial intelligence a real opportunity to restore autonomy, to support individual abilities and to make simpler those small gestures through which, every day, we build our own independence.

Like the imaginary friend in Chocolat, we imagine a presence that does not need to take centre stage to matter.
